A unique story within a somewhat bland anime genre. The idea of isekai or “video game in real life” has been something of an over bloated genre as of late. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing; however, many of these titles will go through the same story arch’s without trying to do anything new. DCC takes the genre and really runs with it, then spits it out in ways that will make you laugh one minute then horrified the next. I haven’t been as excited to continue a new series in a while. One of the greatest audiobook covers i’ve listened to in a while, it thoroughly captures every moment of pure awesomeness and sheer horror.
