I love Lily Mayne, especially her Monstrous series. Obsessed. So I really thought I’d love this too, but I sadly have to agree w/ other reviewers about 2 main negatives for me about this book: the narration and the lead’s idiocy. How many times did he whine, “I don’t understand,”?? Seriously. But I honestly feel like I could’ve loved this book if the narration had been better. The posh older guy British accent for EVERY single character?? Ugh! Please, no. It was just terrible listening to this 21yo hot male character sound like a stuffy, whining, frothing at the mouth tool. Every female character sounded like they were old and feeble. And these are Fae, right? Irish accents, please! Not posh British.
