The book ended the series well with the right amount of action, introduction to new characters (and some previous ones as well) and end of other characters.

The author once again strays away from the all too often used ‘happy ending for everyone’. Characters die that you don’t want to and mistakes are made that will frustrate you. The mistakes are not criticism, but rather the author being able to keep his characters true to themselves. This book is about 2 or so months post “event” so most people wouldn’t change their fundamental selves in that short amount of time (something I see happening in other books of this genre). The main character is still too overprotective of his wife, many of the characters are stubborn in their ways and thinking, and the minor characters aren’t taken to the extreme (example is one non-named girl is kind without being overboard and one male subject is a jerk without being borderline psycho).

For those not sure about the first book based on the biblical aspects, book 2 begins to stray from it and book 3 has almost completely set it aside. All in all, this was a good series and I enjoyed it.
