I quit this series in book 3 after the author started the setup for what he must have thought was a wonderful idea to write scenes with the main character sleeping with his far younger adopted daughter.
Book 1 here is actually not really a 2* book / it’s a 3* to 4* book – good worldbuilding, good characters, interesting enough story.
But I quit the series after book 3 – and the simple fact of book 5 spoilers just had me wanting to give you all this warning.
