Stacy has a different pace than my recent series’ I had listened to, but, I really enjoyed his style.

Mr. Jones on the other hand just delivered the last part of your appetizer! I greatly enjoyed the direction and misdirection of the story. There wasn’t as much of “backstory” development as there was in the previous books. There were some characters that got the treatment, but, I didn’t notice much of it since it wasn’t needed.

This book did a great job at figuring out a good path forward for the survivors, but, it wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns. There’s a few parts where you just say “F that person” and maybe it works out for the best and sometimes it doesn’t.

One thing I will say is that Mr. Jones needs to do is make at least one more book or possibly another series. The Earth’s part in the bigger picture seems to be on a path of resolution and you can tell he did pretty well in wrapping it up. There’s still questions regarding the aliens that are left unexplained. Maybe it’s because I’ve listened to so many sci-fi books that have finality to them, but, I feel like the aliens and their crusade(?) can be explored a lot more.

I’m hoping for more either way. Thanks for the books!
