Excellent narration.
Complex plot.
Several unsympathetic Main Characters.
Many toxic relationships.
A bit like a gory soft porn paranormal soap opera in which it’s hard to actually like the leads.
It gets more and more unpleasant, to be fair. I wouldn’t have gotten interested in the ending if the first part showed profoundly selfish, toxically stubborn, horrendously disrespectful people hurting each other while holding their relationships together with sex and calling it love.
I do write positive reviews. This isn’t really negative, but it is a warning.
You may find that the most likable person in this whole series was not and never was human.
If you like feeling creeped out about possibly unintentional psych issues more than the ‘evil’ things or gore, this is your next series.
