I think I like the storyline, but the narration is so unbelievably terrible it’s hard to really get into it. He’s managed to make every character sound like they are 80 years old with a warbley voice.
My other issue is how the 25-30ish year old characters are written, I’m not sure if the author has spent a lot of time around 30 year olds recently. Also, Gideon has a goatee and I just can’t.
