While the characters are really entertaining, and the performance of the narrator is absolutely top notch, the story itself seems to be a winding buildup to something else. This is seemingly a stepping stone towards additional adventures for Carl and Princess Donut. Lacks the punch of the first novel, with it’s introductions and clear start. Still interesting enough that I will be continuing the series!
