I won’t spend too much time on this series’s strengths, as you likely already know from the first two books.
There were a few issues that kept this one from fully hitting the mark for me:
* The frog noises from Mordecai were incredibly annoying
* There is a light delay audio effect during some passages that is very distracting. A light, more washed out reverb alone would be just as effective in conveying a sense of space without the annoyance of overlapping vocals.
* Story-wise, there are several passages that go way too deep into the logistics of train movements in the dungeon and really don’t serve to progress the story much.
Other than that, I love the voice acting/narration and the premise is still novel enough to be entertaining. I’ll be picking up the next in the series 👍🏻
