This book follows a guy through what feels like a blend of The Running Man movie, and some kind of Fallout/Skyrim style open world game. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. The writing is quite humorous, and the voice acting is really well done. Carl is an interesting sort of “Joe-shmo” type character, relatable and sympathetic. I actually think Princess Donut is my favorite though, sort of a posh, sardonic, comic relief character.
