I’ve enjoyed this series from beginning to end. For the most part, this final book did a good job of closing out Dan’s journey home. That said, I think the story itself needed more chapters or at least an epilogue to tie a few things up. Such as more thorough introductions between parties, what happened with certain characters, the new way of living at home, and the country’s response to either restoration or further degradation. I found the ending to be a bit abrupt, but that’s only because I have enjoyed the series and been so invested in it. Perhaps the author will write more in this universe at some point. Overall, though, a great read.
