I don’t like the romance between the spear guy and the tavern girl. It feels forced to me and a bit tone deaf. She go’s around the bar flirting with other men (even if it’s for tips) In front of her husband. And on the same night he decides he decides to leave the author is trying to set her up with the spear guy. Even if he was just a good friend leaving romance would be the last thing on her mind.
But this is a relatively minor issue and it’s just something that bothers me on a repeat listen. Overall this is a great story and worth the credit.
