Well – it’s official. If these two can be audiobook narrators, then I am confident I can safely switch my career to be one. I could only do better. Given the reviews that said it was a slow start, I gave it until chapter thirteen and then just couldn’t take it anymore. So I didn’t finish the book. Can’t say if it got better. I only know that twelve chapters should be enough to get things moving. The story was achingly slow, and I think it was made slower by the narrators. Maybe I could have soldiered through the narration if the book moved along, but it was a complete dud for me. Not a single likeable character, and I could care less what happens to them in chapters thirteen onward.
