I enjoyed the golem legend and the mysteries surrounding it: the original rabbi, the river clay, the parchment that brought it to life and the supernatural gentleness it possessed with Katerina.
The beginning moved a bit slowly for me, but I really enjoyed Josef and Katerina together and the juxtaposition of life and death – protection and sacrifice – killing and murder. If you like unique perspectives on world events, you’ll enjoy this story.
