Cole Danner (MMC) Single, feeling the loneliness of the holidays with his estranged blended families. He works as a designer in UX/UI.
Nora Romano (MFC) Single project manager for the Desert Vista Construction Company. A company that’s currently trying to persuade the city of Mesa, Arizona on their plans to redevelop the downtown village area of Mesa Crossing.
Cole has shown up to oppose the redevelopment plans and to save The Copper Canyon Skatepark,?where he and other kids found refuge and a safe place to go to hangout and create their own type of “found family”. He has gathered community support and has over 300 signatures on opposing the plan.
Nora is trying to persuade the City of Mesa in her favor of her company’s proposal.
Now the two of them find themselves together again trying to get the same “toy of the year” for one of their family members and they’re showing just how spectacularly they are failing at the Spirit of Christmas, but with a little bit of help from Marigold they will soon find it.
This was a wonderful feel good holiday short story about two people that have lost their joy and the meaning behind the spirit of Christmas and what family time is about. I definitely recommend 💕🤶🏻🎄💕
