In general, I love to read post apocalyptic books. The first thing that bothered me in listening to this one was the abundance of words that should have been contractions spoken as separate words (e.g., “will not” instead of “won’t”). Characters are one dimensional. They seem to have access to water, but why didn’t anybody bathe? Everything seemed to smell like piss. How on earth were the clans unfamiliar with music until they heard the flute player? . I stopped listening with about ten hours to go.
