This one was my least favorite of the series so far. I understand the nod to Pokemon with the “card battles,” and appreciate the fun in that. But there is just some super weird stuff in this one, and it was to me the saddest of the series thus far as it takes place in real Earth settings instead of an unknown created dungeon. I’m sure there are some people who will like it even better for that reason though, and of course I’m not going to stop listening now because Carl (or at least Donut) has me hooked.
