that’s the only problem with audio books in my opinion. The book could be a masterpiece, but with the wrong narrator it just isn’t convincing. I probably didn’t make it past the third chapter before I gave up and skip to the end. The narrator sounded more like a grandfatherly figure reading a childhood Tale then someone narrating a survival book. to be fair the book itself could be very good, and I rated It Low, but I just couldn’t make it through it while listening to a friendly Jolly grandfather’s advice on survival. I didn’t feel that the character’s nuances explored so much as the words we’re Simply Red with no feeling for trying to convey the different characters.
