Both Amelia and Walker were able to bring their characters alive in such a way that I could actually envision them and their facial expressions while they spoke. Walker excelled in bringing the reader’s focus into Hayden’s obsessive way of thinking. His over-the-top way of seeing life involving Calista. He was able to bring Hayden’s insecurities to life in a way that felt personal.

Pros of the Story 👍
– it’s a green flag stalker Romance! One of my all-time favorite tropes.
– complex characters that go through development. And the development is actually fleshed out – it doesn’t just, “poof” happen.
– Dark Romance, but not too dark(even though I love super dark)
– the FMC isn’t a giant effing airhead like you get in many romances / dark romances. She actually has a head on her shoulders, she pushes our mmc’s patience in a way that shows she stands up for herself but she doesn’t fall into that typical “I’m a bitch” personality that a lot of authors think constitutes a “strong” female lead character. But she’s also sweet, and a genuinely nice person.
– the friendship between Calista and her best friend Harper, is one of my all-time favorite things ever now. Harper is the best friend that every girl deserves.
– I love how Hayden doesn’t just magically “change” to be the perfect guy for Calista. It’s a learning process, the author is true to his personality and I LOVE it!
