After listening to The Book Of Sorrows & Kingdom Of Darkness sets (my 1st Goodwin books) I had my doubts on whether or not another end times story by the same author could really be that different. Also I really fell in love with the characters in those stories. At the end of all those books were snippets of other Goodwin series. By the time I finished the last one, I knew I had to listen to another. Deciding which one was the difficult part but I ended up choosing The Days Of Noah.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly invested in the characters I became. So glad I chose to continue listening even with my doubts. I agree with others that Kevin Pierce’s narration on this genre is really perfect. I’ve listened to him with other authors’ books as well.

I had a pile of credits accumulated and had used them up. So I bought more credits to get this set & Ava’s Crucible. So I guess I’m using my free credit to get the Days of Elijah now that I know it’s next. I REALLY WISH AUDIBLE would tell you in every description if books are connected. They do it for the box sets but why not just put all that info in the same place? I mean even the previews at the end of the books don’t say whether it’s a continuation from the same Origin story. If they had, then I wouldn’t have had to search the internet for that info. Plus it would allow for seamless listening. I get that the boxed sets work as stand alone BUT if you listen to one and love it it’d be nice to go to a Mark Goodwin Audible page that has a list of the books grouped together in stories that are related. Just think they’d want to make it as easy as possible for fans to find and buy the next boxed set of a continuing storyline. I guess nothing’s perfect though. So for now I’ll have to keep doing the leg work and creating “collections” of my own in my acct page.

Now please excuse me while I purchase the Elijah box set and start on it.
