Theo has some insecurity that comes from being the nice guy and being passed over. He dated a girl for several years waiting for her to be ready for sex. But instead, she gave it up to another guy.
Theo’s roommate, Troy, is a star football player and he appears to have everything a guy would want. Being popular on and off the field leads Theo to have jaded feelings toward his roommate. The Guy on the Left is Troy’s book and I’m curious to learn his background.
Listening to the word “hashtag” read in the book always sounds weird. While the word is in this book it reminded me how some words work better ‘read’ instead of ‘listened’ to.
