Maybe it’s just me but I feel the romance took center stage and I was really only here for the murder mystery. Two of the books in this thriller box set had good storylines and twists and turns but the romance was distracting from the mystery. The other two were so predictable it was confusing. I felt if the focus was the mystery instead of the romance they could have turned out better. Overall disappointed and found myself struggling to make it through to the end. Also, some of the male voiceovers were just creepy and didn’t sound at all real which was distracting. The female main characters seemed to all be the same; brokenhearted, helpless but wanting to seem strong, and struggling with self esteem.
SPOILER ALERT!! : How many times are we going to use the main character’s good friend/roommate/etc. to betray them and be a vile mass murderer? The first time was genius…after that, redundant.
