What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Character growth is by and large the most critical item that is missing from this piece. In addition to that, though, the characters are just downright unlikeable and uninteresting.
What could Sean-Michael Argo have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Focus a little more on characters. They have decent skeletons, but they’re not very fleshed out. As a result, I don’t have any attachment to them and whether or not they live or die.
Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?
Probably Mag.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
So far as the plot line, I would say the book sparked frustration. The main reason for this is that this is the first in the series. It leaves you frustrated, wishing you had seen more change to the world. I expect that if any change comes it will be reserved for the latter books.
