Where do I start. the story itself was good although a bit long and it took forever to get to the point. the character development was so so kind of typical of every single book in the genre that you’ve ever read. what disappointed me is the absolute whiny and dupidity laced self-deprecation of the main female character. the insecurities that caused her to make stupid choices and stupid moves is so played out in 2025 that I’m disappointed that I paid for a book where I had to listen to hours of that same character and that same characteristic. I am looking forward to the day I find a writer who will write a woman who is not weak who is not overbearing who is not narcissistic who is not insecure who can make decisions that are of sound mind and body without the reliancy of some men coming to rescue her from her own fate. at last today is not that day so all in all for me this was a wasted credit.
