This is such an interesting premise that I really wanted to like this book. Sadly, it seems like the author gets caught up in their own kinks to the detriment of the story. The sexual aspects become either repetitive (no one needs that many in-depth descriptions of breasts) or distracting due to inaccuracies (IYKYK). Also, if you are bothered by the word “retarded” this is not the story for you. Overall, this book has a creative concept and strong RPG mechanics but I found it pretty dull and uncompelling. The biggest saving grace was the incomparable narrative skills of Jeff Hays. But even my love of Jeff’s work wasn’t enough to make me want to buy the next book in the series.
