I would like to start by saying I enjoyed many of the author’s other series, the Issalia and both Wizardom series. The Exploits of Jerrell Landish series was enjoyable enough, although not my favorite. I had high hopes for Tor the Dungeon Crawler.
After 6 hours of listening, I just could not listen any further. I felt like I was listening to a school play. Both the performance and the writing were… not to my liking.
If you listen to this one first, don’t lose hope of Jeff’s other books; they are well worth listening to / reading.
