Although SciFi is one of my favorite genres and I enjoy RPG video games, I wasn’t sure I would like merging the two in a book format. Not my normal read/listen. But after listening to a few chapters of this audio book, I was enamored. The storyline is great (even though it borrows a few plot elements from The Hunger Games), and the characters are well-developed and likable. I found myself smiling, chuckling, and sometimes outright laughing out loud while listening. But most of all, the narration is unbelievably good. I had to check several times to finally accept that only one person narrates this book. WOW! On finishing this first book, I immediately bought the second in the series. I highly recommend it!
