Most of the characters were vaguely unlikable for some or all of the book, but as the book went on I began to like them more or at least understand them. Generally, if I don’t like the characters, I’ll quit reading. The fact that I didn’t speaks to the author’s skill of keeping me interested despite people I wasn’t too fond of. This is a book that made me think while I was listening and will continue to think about. Good family drama with some interesting twists and some “mysteries” that are slowly solved as the book goes along.
