I wasn’t sure if this was for me but I was wrong.

Whenever Id seen advert images for Dungeon Crawler Carl, it really seemed like it wasnt gonna be a good read, like it might be a little too tongue in cheek or maybe just zany with too many concepts mashed together but God-damnit, Donut was I wrong.

This series has quickly become one of my top 5 of all time. Its witty, it’s referential, it’s over the top, but it’s done so damn well. Dinniman is a great storyteller and I know I’m going to follow this series to the end, then immediately reread it all over again.

I’m only giving the audio performance a 4/5 because it takes a bit for Jeff to find his voice for Carl but once he does it’s absolutely stellar throughout. Every character has a unique voice and characterization. Don’t be like me and pass it up for years.
