It isn’t 5 stars because that goes to the likes of Dungeon Crawler Carl and Defiance of the Fall, but it is entertaining so I am giving it a well-deserved 4 stars. Elise can at times be frustrating but the author thankfully character-develops her so that her hang-ups are still there but they stop being so self-destructive by the end. It was satisfying to watch her. She is WAY too much in her head, but I like that about her. She is very introspective and will oftentimes look back on her own actions, sometimes to the point of being overly critical, but ironically that is what makes her so human.
