I initially passed on this title- more than once if I’m honest. The blurb inspired several eyerolls and reading (or listenening) to the story unfold at times had the same effect. There were so many unlikable characters, and likable characters who you wanted to just shake sense into ( “Norman”, eyeroll). The story unfolded as so many of these tales do, in fiction as in life, yet it didn’t leave me feeling bitter, frustrated or apathetic. The Universe knows and will respond accordingly.
