I started this series for alien sex and stayed for the plot. Damn does this story suck you in. The battle scenes have me on the edge of my seat. The character growth and complexity have brought tears to my face. It’s SO GOOD. The realistic depiction of PTSD and trauma is heartbreaking and then you get some humor and heartwarming scenes that really balance it out. I really didn’t expect the plot to be as intense and emotional as it is but I went through the first three like candy.
