This narrator made this book so much more than I could have had I read it.
I actually turned this audio off about an hour into it because I was lost and couldn’t keep track of who was who. This happens to me when I’m stressed and listening in car between jobs (I am a pet sitter). I listened to something I didn’t have to pay as much attention to and came back to this one later. So glad I did. I was able to catch up easily the 2nd time around and caught a great deal of humor I had not noticed first time. The lead character is charming and his love interest was almost inappropriate which really had me puzzled. I’m still a bit puzzled by that and definitely want to listen to more to see where it goes, if anywhere. The mystery is quite good and yes, there are plenty of twists to keep one a little off-balanced.
I was gifted this audio book for an honest review.
