Hats off to the brilliant author Emma Glass and to the fabulous narrator, Rafe Beckley. This is a WOW box series; I’m so glad I took the chance on this series. I’m a book writing coach and this is everything I teach my writers – how to create tension, write memorable characters and dialogues, keep the momentum going, and most amazingly – Emma Glass writes every one of the books 1-10 as fantastic as the last one. (Very hard to do, however she knows how to build a story and deeply bring you into the other worlds.) I was upset when book 10 was done and books 11 and 12 are not audible available yet, I didn’t want it to end. Only one critique which is minimal however true – the author uses the word “Smirk,” or “Smirked” A LOT. Too much. Otherwise, Bravo! I am excited for the next installations to be available, and to be immersed, once again in the unfolding world of Clara, Elliott, Peter and — I hope — the hilarious Nikki.
I must give a nod to Rafe Beckley, narrator extraordinaire. A master at accents and bringing to life each of the main and many other characters – he made these people unique, wonderful, and real.
