I love a good villain character, and the split lives work really well since he can be a bad guy online and a normal respectful kid IRL, which keeps this from becoming a real edge lord story. I never really got used to the choice of having Hank from King of the hill as the narattor though. His tone stays pretty monotone throughout, though he makes a good effort at different voices. And the extremely stilted way he reads chat logs, system messages and the Ai is kinda annoying. Hopefully he loosens up a bit in future books. Though I do chuckle sometimes at the idea of seeing him sitting in a room hitting a little bell every time a Stat changes.
