This story concept is pretty good, executed in a moderately good way and by an interesting main character.
My only real complaint is the mimic’s voice. I don’t know who’s decision it was to do the voice like this, but they missed the mark, by about 10 miles.
I’m fine with the concept of changing voices for a character like a mimic, however he ends up sounding schizophrenic and like a caricature of someone with downs syndrome. Unfortunately it only gets worse as the series goes on. Normally I enjoy Jeff Hays, but this is a difficult listen.
