I just finished Operation Bounce House by Matt Dinniman, and it hit harder than I expected.

It feels like this generation’s 1984 or Fahrenheit 451, but with Dinniman’s edge. Dark humor. Absurdity. Controlled chaos. The world is exaggerated just enough to feel fictional and grounded enough to feel uncomfortable.

There’s spectacle on the surface, but underneath it’s about systems, power, manipulation, and manufactured reality. It just drops you into the world and lets you see it for yourself.

The imagery sticks. The tone walks the line between funny and disturbing. By the end, you’re not just entertained. You’re thinking about it.

If you like dystopian fiction with teeth, this one delivers. It’s sharp, weird in the right ways, and uncomfortably relevant.

Highly recommend.
