I liked this book a lot at first, but the narration took away from the experience. The male narrator bothered me, and the female narrator—whose voice I’ve heard many times before—started to sound whiny and breathy, which became distracting. That said, the story itself had a lot of promise. I really enjoyed the suspenseful component, even though it scared me at times, and the romance was decent. The characters were good, though they didn’t quite pull me in the way others have. Overall, I don’t regret listening—it was an enjoyable enough read, just not a favorite.
