Ive read a lot of EMP books so Im pretty biased but like, some plot points are just goofy
SPOILER ALERT
theyre starving, get attacked by a bear, then kill it and when someone wants to eat the bear since theyre starving, the main lady character is like “No its too heavy” so they just go hungry

generally nonsensical once the whole post EMP mood is set, characters dont interact realistically with each other
