Hard to reckon with timeline of story. Within a week, civilization is lost and crops are dead? Nah, I dont think so, and not because I think my fellow humans arent capable of terrible things. But because humans are lazy, we wouldnt be that quick to organize. Narrator had a “golly gee” tone and character of Ben was a condescending ass at times. However, I read the entire series and liked it enough to do so.
