Wow!! This is an amazing story, filled with so many surprises. Jamie is a travel nurse that has accepted a position in a new place, new town. She rents a room in the home that includes smoke jumper Fitz, a fire department engine chief Will, and air tanker pilot Maren. Jamie gets along great with everyone, including grumpy Fitz. However, intimate relationships are forbidden among the roommates and that creates so much slow burn friction. There is great word building and banter, and the best plot twist. The healing and growth has so much depth, this story touched me deeply. The audiobook was read perfectly also.
