I liked Carl and Donut with their cast of friends dealing with the horrible environment of the dungeon. I had to stop when the “Uzi Jesus” character was brought out. I can handle all kinds of sarcasm and insane characterizations, but the way the author included the description of how the character was presented in the first “training session” was flat out blasphemous and I’m out.
I think the series’ concepts are incredible and present many rich plot archs, but I couldn’t take the author’s imagination about my Savior. I’m sorry I bought so many of these books and invested way too much time to be insulted…oh well, live and learn.
