Boy meets survivors. Boy finds shelter. Boy does a morally good thing in a dumb way. Bad thing happens to Boy. Boys shelter gets invaded. Boy’s friends die. Repeat.
I listened through 5 of the 9 books in the box set and gave up. There’s just no real progression or sense of resolution on any plot point that comes up. Book 1 felt like a setup for a decent zombie series. Books 2-5 felt like sitting through a bad zombie sitcom. Small snippets were interesting, but overall campy and bland.
