This was almost scene for scene, word for word exactly like Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. There is a difference between being inspired by something and just coping their homework and just making it look a little different.
The writing is so juvenile and the FMC is so annoying. Like she can’t decide what type of personality she is.
Also, what was with the female narration? She’s WAY too dramatic for EVERY LINE! And why does the male narrator suddenly NOT voice the male lines? Like after chaper 9, the female is doing all the voices for some reason. And very poorly at that.
I had high hopes that this was going to be a twisted take on the original fairytale, but I was very disappointed and I don’t understand the people that have given this book anything above a 1 star rating. Either they haven’t read and good quality books or they just like simple minded FMCs.
