What was one of the most memorable moments of The Gelatin Coast?
Oh, there were so many! One of my favorite lines (out of MANY) was, “The ridges of his brow nearly caused the cabbage to explode.” I couldn’t believe I heard that, and had to rewind and listen to it again. The mind’s eye boggles.
Have you listened to any of Joel Froomkin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is better than some of the others I’ve heard. Very good distinguishing voices and accents, and a great narrative pomp.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Made me guffaw. Continuously and at high volume.
