This book has a great storyline. The writing is pretty good ….better than some, not as good as others. It’s interesting enough that I listened to the whole thing. However, throughout the reading, all I could think of is that the narrator made all the women sound like “Leave it to Beaver‘s” mother. So juvenile. So sing-song and unrealistic. His voice is good, but he makes the characters sound silly. I was thinking it should be a teenage book not an adult book. If Jay Snyder had narrated these books, it would have been much better.
