It’s rare for a second book in a series to match (let alone surpass) the first, but wow…this one absolutely delivers! I’m completely hooked and loving every second of rooting for Carl and Donut (and now their new team, which just adds even more fun to the mix). The stakes feel higher, the world keeps expanding in the best ways, and I’m already desperate to start the next installment.
And of course, Jeff continues to be beyond amazing as our narrator. His performance brings so much personality to every scene. It’s honestly hard to imagine experiencing these books any other way!
