This is a collection of three cream puff romantasy books that also provide a series arc with gods, monsters and a battle for all the marbles. Each book’s FMC is a triplet with magical powers (Enyo, a raunchy assassin; Freida, the fraidy-cat seer; Dina, the witch). The narration begged for a male narrator, or better yet, graphic audio with six narrators for the six MCs.
“You kidnapped my sister, prepare to die!”
Book 1: Yay for feminism, I guess, as Enyo is a pot smoking, lecherous smart-mouth who gleefully kills and shamefully ogles Bane, a Warden/shifter.
Book 2: “French Fry Frieda” is the most delicate of the sisters, hiding away from the futures she sees. Good thing John is a natural born protector.
Book 3: Dina’s a powerful witch with an insatiable itch and a ruthless streak making her a good match for a down and out god.
“It’s just a flesh wound.”
The series is about sex jokes and comic adventures, with all of the best lines stolen from pop culture. It’s shallow, vapid, crass and cares little about plot or character development. I’m not even sure the hows and whys made sense to me, but it was fun. The sex scenes aren’t as detailed or numerous as some of this author’s usual fare; rather, it’s more like one or two shenanigans per book. Gathered into a collection, this gives good value; enjoy the flavor and don’t worry about the empty calories.
