This was a good story with a lot of ups and downs. Sometimes the characters made me laugh and sometimes I really felt bad about the things they had gone through. Even their camaraderie was a roller coaster of mutual support and derision, humor and teasing, determination and sheer terror. The sidekick crew stepped up when they were needed and learned a lot about themselves and their mentors in the process. I really wanted Randy and maybe the author to get punched in the mouth at least once for the Nips thing.
