Uprooting her life to move to Vegas for her job as a brand strategist to fix the image of the arrogant quarterback sets the tone for this fun, enemies-to-lovers romance between upbeat Everleigh and seemingly always grumpy and cynical Maverick. Their two personalities were magnetic, which created some entertaining angst and banter as they tried to avoid their connection. I appreciated that, after the forbidden romance between the two solidified, they were also able to help each other through some tougher family issues—adding depth and another layer of compassion to an overall lighthearted sports romance.
I experienced this on audio. The dual narration from Liam DiCosimo and Stefanie Kay was enjoyable as they did a great job portraying the banter and capturing the steam with their voices.
Thanks to ValentinePR for the gifted copy, my thoughts are honest and voluntary. Overall 4.5 stars, the story and audio were great!
